Portland’s Surveillance Technologies Draft Specification

On Monday, April 15th, we co-hosted another event with Portland’s Techno-Activism 3rd Mondays, this time on Portland’s Surveillance Inventory Draft.

At the event, Hector Dominguez, Open Data Coordinator at Smart City PDX, joined us to discuss the the draft surveillance technology inventory specification and to share details of how you can still give input into the inventory.

Some background information about the draft…

Last summer, Smart City PDX and the Office of Equity and Human Rights held a series of public events and released a survey to gather input from local communities to help determine what information should be included in the inventory. After analyzing the public comments, they released a draft version of the surveillance technologies inventory specification, which is available here:
